If padel is the reason you're here, base yourself near the courts. This guide pairs each club with the best nearby areas and hotel styles - so you can roll out of bed and onto the glass. Samui's compact, so a scooter or taxi makes the other clubs easy too.
We name areas and representative hotels by tier rather than guaranteeing distances - new clubs move and hotels change hands. Treat these as starting points, then confirm the exact location and current rates when you book. For the full area breakdown, see Where to Stay.
The flagship club sits in the Bophut / Bangrak area near Fisherman's Village - one of the most convenient places to stay on the island, with great dining, the Friday Walking Street and an easy hop to the airport and Chaweng. Padel Samui is also a short drive away, so this is the best single base for a padel-focused trip.
Beachfront boutiques & resorts around Bophut and Bangrak (e.g. Anantara Bophut, Napasai-style hideaways).
Stylish small hotels and villas in and around Fisherman's Village - walkable to dining and bars.
Guesthouses and bungalows just back from the beach in Bophut and towards Maenam.
Padel Samui is near Choeng Mon and Plai Laem, by SALA Samui - a calm, stylish, family-friendly corner with shallow swimmable water, minutes from the airport. Ideal if you want a peaceful base that's still close to both north-east clubs and Chaweng's restaurants.
High-end Choeng Mon resorts (the SALA Samui Choengmon, Ritz-Carlton, Cape Fahn, Tongsai Bay area).
Boutique beach hotels around Choeng Mon bay and Bophut.
Simple rooms and bungalows in nearby Bophut/Bangrak with a short drive to the court.
This covered, all-weather club is right on Lamai's main road, so you can stay within a short walk or scooter ride. Lamai is the island's best-value lively beach - plenty of dining and bars, excellent sand, and a more relaxed feel than Chaweng.
Cliffside and beachfront resorts at the quieter ends of Lamai bay.
Central beach resorts (e.g. Sea Dance-style) within walking distance of the main road.
Lamai is well stocked with affordable guesthouses and bungalows close to the court.
Bantai sits in the quiet Ban Tai / Maenam area on the north coast and even offers on-site accommodation as part of its padel retreat packages - the easiest "wake up, walk to the court" option on the island. Maenam itself is budget-friendly, low-key and good for families.
Stay right at the club via a padel & wellness retreat package.
Quiet north-shore resorts along Maenam beach.
Maenam has some of the island's cheapest beachfront bungalows (e.g. Harry's-style).
Out on the peaceful south-west coast, Purple Padel suits travellers after sunsets and seclusion. Taling Ngam and nearby Lipa Noi are quiet and scenic, with several luxury resorts - just note you'll be further from the dining and nightlife, so it's a destination base rather than a central one.
Hillside and beachfront luxury resorts in Taling Ngam with sunset views.
Quiet boutique stays around Lipa Noi.
Limited here - consider basing in Nathon for value and driving out to play.
